1.Embrace of the future

The Kuala Lumpur Convention Center best represents the above theme because it is an example of post modern architecture. This is shown by the all-glass shell of the building, the adopted forms and shapes like the curves and the arches, and the use of various materials such as the metallic one. All these features give a futuristic look to the place.

2. Freezing of the Past

This picture of the Central Market best represents this theme because it is an old colonial building built by the British back at the turn of the 20th century. It was designed based on the Victorian architecture, but still adapts to the climate of Malaysia.

3.Transition between the Past and the Present

The Petronas Twin Tower is the best example of the stated theme. When seen from above it resembles the Islamic geometric motifs, while looking from street level the all glass-shell of the building gives a post modern take on the more traditional motif. Therefore it is a transition between the past and the present because it has the traditional features and makes it look more modern.

4.Cultural Crossroads

This picture best represents cultural crossroads because these shophouses, usually two story with functional shops on the ground floor and separate residential spaces upstairs, were designed and influenced from both Straits Chinese and European traditions.

5. Collapsing Identity

This image of Suria KLCC bests represents the above theme because the building does not have any identity of its own. Although it looks more modern than traditional, the style does reflect either past or futuristic identity.
