1.Embrace of the future


Description :
These two luxury master piece located in heart of Kuala Lumpur best fulfil this theme. These are modern style of condominium and it is just nearby the KLCC.

Requirements:
There are many places in Malaysia which they will keep stand out in the future. High quality materials such as: steel , glass, and bricks are used in this huge and modern structure . These two buildings have the same theme but different character. It’s shown on the design of the façade where they have same windows design and same roof. For the roofs one is bigger while the other one looks like subtraction of the bigger roof. Actually these buildings which carry the same theme apply the principle of subtraction and addition. These designs bring a sense of contemporary which may represent the direction of future architecture.

2. Freezing of the Past


Description:
In the middle of crowded pudu raya area, in between of high pace of living a two story building caches eyes. A piece of history was left behind. It seems time stopped in 1914.

Requirements:
The materials used in this building are bricks, cement and wood. It held strongly for more than a decade but of course some of its part has been renovated. The window frame is made from wood and there are ornamentations added to the wall. Colourful, ornamentations and the old design make time flew back to the past. There are many historical houses like this in Malaysia which are worthy and we should pay more attention to them. It shows the old architecture until the present years.

3.Transition between the Past and the Present


Description :
The place which located to pasar seni area, among lots of old and new houses, is a modern style of condominium.

Requirements:
These red building remains the traditional design which shown in the use of number of floors, colour and also arched window. However, it has been simplified in the wall and window design where not decoration was use. The materials have been replaced by glass, steel and mortar instead of wood and natural materials which has been used in the traditional design. Arced window usually with louver converted into a glass window. These are the mixture of past and present. As it shows people like to keep their identity

4.Cultural Crossroads


Description : the temple which is important in pasar seni and just 5 minutes by walk. It is one of the historical temples in Malaysia.

Requirements:
As walking among tall new building which represents a modern culture of living, there is a building come from old times life culture, this amazing combination gives people opportunity to have a good spiritual experience during a busy life of today.

5. Collapsing Identity


Description : the old building with old materials for 1914 beside modern building which has build with good materials these recently years located in pasar seni are eye catching. Although there are many houses the same there.
As we know identity of city formed of its old buildings. Giving away of these old buildings leads to loosing identity of city. The pictures show that there is house collapsing because of not caring by the owners or authorities and in other hand there is an apartment beside which is new. There are many different between them such as: colours, decoration , design, materials , size and... This is causing collapsing of identity.
