1.Embrace of the future

The Petronas Twin Towers were the tallest buildings in the world until Taipei 101 was completed in 2004, they together were the tallest tower in the world; however they still hold the tag of the tallest twin towers in the world. The Petronas twin towers are a perfect blend of engineering skills, ideas, and technology. Located exactly at the centre of the as measured to the top of their structural components spires, but not antennas. Spires are considered integral parts of the architectural design of buildings, to which changes would substantially change the appearance and design of the building.
2. Freezing of the Past

Chinese architecture refers to a style of architecture that has taken shape in Asia over many centuries. The structural principles of Chinese architecture have remained largely unchanged, the main changes being only the decorative details. Another characteristic of Chinese architecture is its use of a wooden structural frame with pillars and beams, and earthen walls surrounding the building on three sides. The main door and windows are in front. Chinese have used wood as a main construction material for thousands of years; wood to the Chinese represents life, and "life" is the main thing Chinese culture in its various forms endeavours to communicate. This feature has been preserved up to the present.
3.Transition between the Past and the Present

The entrance is shaped as a old style form , because the design of the columns and the way the built it looks like the old style designs of European culture and style, but the material and the details they used a modern materials like steel, glass, and concrete as well. It is also planned as a new design structure with the feel of old forms style.
4.Cultural Crossroads
This photo for an old building located in central market area. The photo was taken on 09/08.2010
The design of the building got two culture styles of structure in same time. The cultures are eropean and chinese and they are mixed at the whol structure area of this building. The texture comes from a chinese culture where they used this kind of texture as a decoration for most buildign and temples. The columns style cames from Eropean culture and the windows as well so the building we can call it a culture crossroads because it mixed two culture in one building.
5. Collapsing Identity
This building at the central market area. The photo taken on 09/08/2010
Pasar Sini is an old place so It was the heart of Kuala Lumpur so the whole markets and trading were placed over thin area. This building is more new style and I chose it to be collapsing of identity because the whole area around mostly old building and forms as well and this building seems different between those building and shops .
