This building captured the world’s attention not only because of its height but also its striking design.
The towers' design incorporates traditional elements into the cutting-edge design. The floor plan uses an eight-pointed star, a familiar motif in Malay Islamic art. Petronas twin towers show the best example of the modern architecture in Malaysia, we can notice that in the material used like the curtain wall of steel and 32,000 glass windows.

Description:
During the colonisation in Malaysia British build a lot of shop, for the design it was almost from western classical as we can see the uses of the columns and decorative arches, we can see the application of western architecture in the decorative façade using the Pattern and colours of this shop house.

Description:
As we know the roof is one of the important elements in Malay traditional architecture, in this modern building we can see that it’s based in Malay traditional design in the elements. This building is one of the special buildings which can show the uses of traditional element in the modern architecture. For the material used in the structure is concrete with brown cladding to indicate the colour of the timber as a traditional Malay architecture expression.
4.Cultural Crossroads

Description:
This building is collection of two different cultures. As they mixed between the European and Chinese design. The design of the façade is divided to two type the texture it comes from a Chinese culture where they used this kind of texture as a decoration for most building and temples, and The columns style which comes from European culture and the windows as well so the building we can call it a culture crossroads because it mixed two culture in one building.
5. Collapsing Identity

Description:
This shop houses we cannot decide which type of architecture, in the uses of material of window we can see it’s based on the aluminium and glasses. The western classical architecture is used where decorative pillars and arches to show the western influence. It is where different cultures mix together to create is different form of architecture.
